A 20-year-old Toowoomba man charged with dangerous driving causing the death of 18-year-old Grace Farley has had his matters adjourned in the city’s Magistrates Court.

Isaac Bock has been charged with four matters including dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death while adversely affected by an intoxicating substance, driving under the influence of liquor or a drug, driving without a licence (demerit points suspended), and breaching a condition of bail.

The first three charges arise from an horrific car crash on Mackenzie St in the early hours of March 25 in which teenager Ms Farley, who was one of two passengers in the vehicle, sustained critical injuries.

Police allege the car being driven by Mr Bock was travelling northbound on Mackenzie St when it left the road and crashed into a tree just after midnight.

Ms Farley was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane having sustained multiple serious injuries and underwent a number of surgeries.

Tragically, she would not recover from her injuries and died in hospital on April 30.

A second 18-year-old woman in the car at the time was released from hospital after treatment for less serious injuries.

Mr Bock has not been required as yet to enter any pleas to the charges and his solicitor Alysha Jacobsen, of Bouchier Khan Lawyers, asked for an adjournment when the case was briefly mentioned in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Tuesday, July 18.

Magistrate Louise Shephard ordered a police brief of evidence be compiled and remanded Mr Bock on bail with the case adjourned for mention back in the same court on September 6.
