Girl, 16, charged after early morning crash into tree
A young girl is due to face the Toowoomba Childrens Court after she allegedly crashed an unregistered car into a tree.

A young girl is due to face the Toowoomba Children’s Court after she allegedly crashed a Holden Commodore into a tree.
According to the initial police report, the girl crashed into a tree on Mort Street, in North Toowoomba shortly after 6am on Tuesday.
Police detained her at the scene and investigations revealed the girl was allegedly unlicensed and the car was uninsured and unregistered.
The girl was also allegedly in possession of a quantity of dangerous drugs.
She was charged with driving unlicensed, uninsured and in an unregistered vehicle, along with possession of dangerous drugs and failing to have proper control of a vehicle.
Police refused her watch-house bail and she was held on remand to front the Toowoomba Children’s Court later on Tuesday.
A Queensland Police Service spokesman said the car was not reported stolen.
