Hundreds of hikers have risen to the challenge of wet and muddy conditions at Jubilee and Redwood Parks on Sunday to complete the gruelling Rotary Run the Range Milne Bay Challenge.
The longstanding charity event has raised tens of thousands for 20 beneficiaries.
Event director Tressa Lindenberg said participants got their money’s worth on the 7km and 15km circuits, which traversed 600m of elevation.
“We had to hold our nerve, because the conditions were less than perfect but no one got hurt or injured and the kids enjoyed playing in the mud,” she said.
