Community support flows to family of Frances Crawford after she was allegedly murdered by her husband

A fund has been established to support the three children of Frances Crawford, a respected psychologist who was allegedly murdered by her husband at their Lockyer Valley home.

A close friend of Frances Crawford has established a fund to support her three children as they come to terms with the mother’s alleged murder.

Ms Crawford was found dead at the bottom of a retaining wall at her Lockyer Valley home in the early hours of July 30, in what was first reported to be an incident involving a lawnmower.

The matter was ruled suspicious by police and after a three-month investigation Frances’ husband Robert Crawford was arrested and charged with murder.

“We’ve set up this fund to help support Frances’ three beautiful children throughout the coming years,” friend Suzanne Duffy said.

“Any donation, big or small, will make a huge difference for their futures.

“The family would be grateful for your financial and emotional support.”

The Lockyer property were Frances Crawford was found deceased on July 30, at 3am.

Mr Crawford’s arrest came after a broad appeal for witnesses to come forward, including about a dozen women who he had contact with through dating apps while serving in the Royal Australian Air Force as a Squadron Leader and test pilot.

The women resided in Italy, United States of America, Papua New Guinea, Guam, Afghanistan, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Western Australia, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory, New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland.

He was arrested on Thursday and held in custody overnight to face the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Friday.

Mr Crawford was represented by lawyer Andrew McGinness in Friday’s mention.

Mr McGinness requested a minimum two-week adjournment.

Acting Magistrate Sue Ganasan adjourned the case to October 25 for mention and excused his appearance.
