Brisbane Broncos bring double premiership trophy tour to Toowoomba fans
Broncos stars and legends will bring both NRL and NRLW trophies to Toowoomba this week as the club celebrates its historic double premiership with country fans.
Toowoomba’s Brisbane Broncos fans finally get a chance to celebrate the club’s incredible 2025 when both the NRL and NRLW trophies come to the Garden City this week.
Current and former champions will be at four schools across Wednesday morning before arriving at Toowoomba Kia at 11.45am with the silverware, as a way to say thankyou to supporters.
The NRL trophy will be at Harristown State High and Centenary Heights State High, while the NRLW prize will head to Oakey State School and Bunkers Hill State School.
It comes more than two months after the men’s team snapped a 19-year premiership drought by defeating the Melbourne Storm 26-22 in the NRL grand final — just hours after the women’s side broke their own hoodoo.
Accompanying the trophies will be Toowoomba NRLW stars Shenae Ciesiolka and Jada Ferguson, while men’s Broncos legends Jharal Yow Yeh, Mick Hancock, Darren Burns and Mick De Vere will also make appearances.
“This is our way of saying thank you to all of our incredible fans and communities who support us from every corner of the state,” the club said online.
“We’ll be heading out to visit several local schools alongside the NRL Game Development team to spread some Broncos spirit and celebrate with the next generation of fans.
“After that, we’ll be at Toowoomba Kia, where you’re invited to come along and see the trophies up close and relive the magic of our double premiership victory.”
The trophies have been on tour across Queensland for more than a month following the dual victories, which is the first time a club has achieved the NRL/NRLW double since the women’s competition was introduced in 2018.
