A 33-year-old Toowoomba man accused of trafficking, supplying and possessing drugs including MDMA (ecstasy) and cocaine has had his case adjourned in the city’s Magistrates Court.
Bobby Mike Ruijter has been held in custody since his arrest in September and was not required to appear in court on Tuesday, November 14, when his charges were mentioned.
Mr Ruijter has not as yet applied for bail.
He has been charged with more than 30 drug related matters including trafficking, supplying and possessing dangerous drugs, and buying or possessing medicines or hazardous poisons.
He has not as yet been required to enter any pleas to the charges and no particulars of the police allegations have been aired in open court.
His solicitor Jag MacDonald, of MacDonald Law, told the court he had been advised the police brief of evidence was available for collection and asked for an adjournment so he could go through the material and take instructions from his client.
Magistrate Kay Philipson therefore remanded Mr Ruijter in custody and adjourned his charges for committal mention back in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on December 5.
