Police allege two Toowoomba teenagers threatened to harm a shop attendant during a brazen daylight tobacconist robbery on Tuesday afternoon.
Officers have since arrested and charged a 15-year-old Kearneys Spring boy, however his co-offender remains at large within the community.
The pair allegedly robbed the TSG Tobacconist at South Toowoomba at 4.30pm on January 16.
A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the pair ran from the store with a quantity of cigarettes.
“The assistant, a 24-year-old Darling Heights man, followed the duo along Haig Street and attempted to retrieve the stolen items,” she said.
“(However) the pair left the scene in a blue 2003 Ford Falcon a short time later.
“Witnesses, or anyone with relevant vision, are urged to contact police.”
She said no one was injured during the incident, and investigations were continuing.
The 15-year-old was due to front Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Wednesday, January 17, on one robbery charge.
