Government-owned business TT-Line have appointed a major player from transport giant Toll Group as their CEO, following the departure of the former CEO in November last year.
Chris Carbone has been named as the new CEO for TT-Line, coming from his position as President of Resources and Industrials at Toll Group.
He also formerly worked as the head of finance and general manager of the supply chain for Coles as well as other positions within Toll and Linfox.
“TT-Line received multiple applications for the position from around Australia and ultimately
interviewed five candidates,” TT-Line chairman Ken Kanofski said.
“Mr Carbone’s demonstrated relevant experience and career achievement to date made
him the primary candidate for the role.”
As President at the Toll Group, he was responsible for overseeing a division of more than
100 operating sites, 2000 team members and more than $1 billion of revenue.
A selection panel comprising the board chair, a board director, the Secretary of the
Department of State Growth and an independent member recommended the appointment
of Mr Carbone to the Board.
Mr Carbone will officially join TT-Line on May 12.
Mr Kanofski thanked interim CEO Kym Sayers who occupied the position since the departure
of former CEO Bernard Dwyer in November last year.
