Tasmania Police have issued a warning to those planning on joining a ‘mass day of action’ against mandatory Covid-19 vaccines in Hobart.

Freedom activists are planning protests in 13 cities across Australia this weekend, with demonstrators circulating flyers on social media and encrypted messaging app Telegram calling for Aussies to join in on the “Worldwide Rally For Freedom” on Saturday at noon.

Protests are planned for 13 cities including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin and Hobart.

Protesters have listed a series of demands, including ending vaccine mandates, lockdown measures, “medical discrimination” and “unlawful quarantine detention”.

“Tasmania Police is aware of the planned protest action and will closely monitor any activity on the day,” a spokesperson said.

“For those planning on attending, Tasmania Police recognises the right of an individual or group of individuals to protest peacefully and lawfully.

“There is no excuse however for unlawful acts in our community of any form, and this will not be tolerated.”

“Freedom” protesters caused chaos in Melbourne on Tuesday, threatening to take over Victorian parliament and yelling abuse at a journalist amid escalating tensions in the state’s capital.

A large group gathered outside the government buildings as part of planned rallies against vaccine mandates and controversial pandemic legislation currently before parliament.

On Monday night, protesters jeered when a blow-up replica of Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews was placed next to the makeshift gallows on the steps of parliament on Monday night.
