The thieves picked through rubble and glass, stealing several items, after prying an ATM from a wall.

A Queensland Police spokeswoman said the Toyota Land Cruiser used in the ram raid was stolen from a Redwood property sometime between April 6 – 19 days before it ploughed through the shopfront.

Police located the ute, which was completely destroyed by fire, at Yarranlea on April 25, which was about 60km west of where it was stolen from.

Police are investigating after offenders ram raided the United Fuel service station on the New England Highway about 12.30am on Anzac Day, April 25, 2023 and stole an ATM.
