St Joseph’s bowler Austin Humphrey grabs a five-for in win over Grovedale

A Geelong keeper-batter maintained his golden start to the season, a St Joseph’s quick grabbed a five-for while last summer’s grand finalists are on the brink in the BPCA’s second tier. See all the photos.

It was another bumper Saturday of local cricket and our photographers were there to capture the action.

In Victorian Premier, Geelong returned to the winners list with an eight-wicket defeat of Kingston Hawthorn as keeper-batter Liam Blackford top scored with 85.

In GCA1, St Joseph’s Austin Humphrey grabbed the stunning figures of 5-58 off 23.4 overs in a 55-run win over Grovedale.

And in the BPCA’s second tier, Wallington is 3-9 chasing 108 for victory against Ocean Grove following another impressive bowling performance from Dane Wise-Graham with 4-16 off 18 overs.
