Southbound lanes of Gold Coast highway closed after minor crash at Miami

A minor crash has bought traffic to a standstill on the central Gold Coast on Wednesday morning with motorists advised to avoid the area.

There is traffic chaos on the Gold Coast Highway at Miami on Wednesday morning after a minor crash blocked both southbound lanes.

Emergency services were called to the two-car crash at 9.47am on April 16, which brought traffic to a standstill, a Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said.

Paramedics were stood down from the job a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area or seek an alternate route, a Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said.
