Titled the “promise of Noah”, a fresh faced Mr Gilham draws parallels between the modern world and the world that preceded the destruction of humanity just prior to the Great Flood.

It is one in which the people of faith have become outnumbered by those who have turned away from religion, similar to that of today.

Belonging to a millenarian Christian group, Mr Gilham also makes references to contemporary events that are believed to be a signal of the End Times.

Yet, unlike the story of Noah, in which mankind was destroyed by a great flood, Mr Gilham argues those of faith will be saved.

“God is no longer present in the hearts of men and they are completely unaware,” he said.

“Like God saved Noah so to will there be a remnant saved in the Second Coming.”

He was granted bail and will face Adelaide Magistrates Court in April next year.
