Commuters experienced huge delays as emergency services dealt with a crash and a fire on the South Eastern Freeway on Thursday morning.

Motorists heading to the city on Thursday morning had to put up with heavy delays after a crash and a truck fire on the South Eastern Freeway.
Traffic was reduced to one lane both inbound and outbound after reports a truck had caught fire near Bridgewater just before 7am.
Soon after, a multiple car crash was reported 300 metres east of the Mount Osmond overpass on South Eastern Freeway downtrack.
Police asked road users to avoid the area where possible.
The crashes have since been cleared and traffic has returned to normal.
