A huge shark been seen roaming the shallow waters of a popular beach in Adelaide’s south – the second sighting in as many days.

Shark spotted close to shore at Maslin Beach

Beachgoers in Adelaide’s south have received a startling fright for a second day in a row, with another massive shark spotted navigating the shallows of a well-frequented beach.

About 6.30am on Saturday morning, Jan Stankiewicz filmed the shark “cruising around gulls and close to shore” at Maslin Beach.

Shark Watch SA shared the footage to Facebook – warning the community of the “very lengthy” creature.

“ … cruising up and down very close to shore off Maslin Beach at the crack of dawn, this morning,” they wrote.

“In the meantime, notify your family and friends and local businesses.”

On Friday, another shark was seen swimming about 50 metres offshore at nearby Aldinga Beach.

It is unclear what breed the shark was, but people commented on the post suggesting it was bigger than 3 metres, and that it could potentially be a Bronze Whaler.
