Man critical after crash on Philip Highway in Elizabeth South

A 38-year-old man is in a critical condition in hospital after his car smashed into a fence on Philip Highway in Adelaide’s north on Thursday night.

A 38-year-old man from Reid is in a critical condition in hospital following a serious crash at Elizabeth South on Tuesday night.

Emergency services were called to the smash on Philip Highway around 6:40pm on Thursday night, after reports of a Holden sedan ran into a fence on a median strip.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was rushed to hospital as Major Crash officers went to the scene to determine the cause of the collision.

Philip Highway was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
