Seacliff Village reveals new images of $900m mega project
Developers behind a $900m transformation of the former cement works at Seacliff Park have unveiled new images of the project after locking in a supermarket giant as anchor tenant.
The developers behind a transformation of the former Cement Hill site at Seacliff Park into a new $900m housing precinct have unveiled new images of the project after locking in Coles as an anchor tenant for its retail hub.
The supermarket giant is among the first retailers secured for the $65m The Village shopping centre, within the Seacliff Village development, alongside an Anytime Fitness gym, pharmacy and Liquorland outlet.
Coles and the adjoining Liquorland are expected to open their doors in April 2027.
Seacliff Village development manager Michael Visintin said talks were under way with other retailers and hospitality operators for the remaining space.
“Coles is a powerhouse retailer and the anchor tenant for our 7500sq m lettable area retail hub,” he said.
“Their involvement highlights the quality of what we’re building and reinforces the strength of our vision for Seacliff Village.
“Alongside Coles, the Seacliff Village retail hub is aiming to make shopping a genuine pleasure with carefully designed, light-filled spaces for a choice of quality retailers, and all-season alfresco eateries taking advantage of northern coastal views. We think it will be very special.”
Seacliff Village is being led by developer Seacliff Developments, a joint venture between Adelaide-based Gasparin Group and Brazzale Group.
It will feature an $18m medical complex and 115-place childcare centre, along with more than 600 apartments and 143 terrace homes being delivered in partnership with Villawood Properties.
Almost 30 per cent of the 12ha former cement works site has been set aside for open space.
Site works are well under way, with the first stage of terrace homes on track for completion early in the new year.
Mr Visintin said there had been strong demand from buyers in the initial sales release.
“We’re attracting buyers from right across Adelaide – downsizers, singles and retirees – who are seeking a true sea change,” he said.
“We’re now taking registrations of interest for Stage 2 and negotiating leases for the remaining retail tenancies.”
More than 900 jobs are expected to be generated during construction, with around 500 ongoing jobs once the project’s completed.
