Rock legend’s AC/DC’s Adelaide Grand Final concert marred by sludge from water leak
Some keen rockers at AC/DC’s Sunday concert were met with a foul smell when an ‘ankle-deep’ brown sludge crept into the VIP section.
Concertgoers who attended AC/DC’s first Adelaide concert in 10 years on Sunday night were subjected to ‘brown sludge’ seeping through outdoor mats in the VIP section of the gig.
One concertgoer, who didn’t want to be named, had tickets for the A-Reserve section and told The Advertiser of ‘bad smelling, brown sludge’ creeping out from under the temporary mats, which covered about 50 per cent of where the VIP ticket holders would stand.
He said as more fans took their spots, the brown sludge was “ankle deep”.
An Adelaide Grand Final spokeswoman said the foul-smelling mud was caused by a leak from a water station nearby the stage.
The leak caused water spillage onto mats, before the rock legends took to the stage, causing the area to turn to sludge.
The spokeswoman said the issue was fixed before the main act started.
She said the leak came from a drinkable water source.
The Adelaide show was AC/DC’s only appearance outside a stadium.
