Police investigating ‘deliberate’ flooding of Wolf Blass House in Hindmarsh Square, Adelaide
Crime scene investigators will attend a CBD building this morning after a suspected deliberate act sent water flooding into several offices.
A CBD building has been swamped by water in a deliberate flooding act early this morning.
Metropolitan Fire Service crews and State Emergency Service volunteers were called to a flooding salvage job at Wolf Blass House on Hindmarsh Square just after 5am on Friday.
SA Police crime scene investigators will attend the building this morning after the suspected deliberate act sent water flooding into several offices and a lift shaft.
It is understood a fire hydrant was turned on, causing the extensive flooding inside the building.
Police are treating it as a deliberate act.
Earlier this year, the deliberate flooding of a CBD apartment complex saw residents evacuated as the building was swamped by water.
Emergency services were called to the Penny Place Apartments, near the Federal Court building in the CBD, in July, after residents reported flooding in the stairwell.
MFS crews found several fire hydrants had been turned on, causing flooding throughout the building.
