A heavily pregnant business owner has taken so social media to call out a shoplifter who made off with a $5000 designer bag.
Unley-based Plus One Dress Hire, which loans out maternity and size-inclusive apparel, on Tuesday gave the Fendi bag thief an ultimatum on Instagram, asking them to return the purse or face legal consequences.
“To the person who took our $5000 Fendi Sunshine Bag last week... we’re deeply disappointed,” the small business posted on its stories.
“As a small business that’s built on trust and supporting women, this has been especially hard to deal with, particularly at 39 weeks pregnant.
“We’re giving you the opportunity to return the bag via our 24/7 chute, no questions asked, before 11am Wednesday.
“If not returned, we will proceed with legal action, as we have CCTV and have identified you. We’d rather not go down that path. But we will if necessary.”
The Advertiser has contacted the business for comment.
The business is owned by Adelaide businesswoman Eli Moulton who is married to renowned US-born chef Justin James.
Ms Moulton was named as one of The Advertiser’s top 40 business people aged under 40 last month.
