Motorcyclist has died after colliding with ute on Tippett Rd, Millbrook

A motorcyclist has died after a crash in the Adelaide Hills, while another rider has come off his bike nearby in a separate incident.

A motorcyclist has been killed after colliding with a ute in Millbrook.

At about 2.25pm on Saturday, police received reports that a Harley-Davidson motorcycle and Ford ute collided on Tippett Rd, south of Newman Rd, Millbrook.

The rider of the motorcycle, a 45-year-old man from St. Clair, suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.

The driver of the ute, a 33-year-old Lobethal man, was not injured.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene and the road was closed for several hours while investigations took place.

The man’s death is the 79th life lost on SA roads this year, compared with 52 at the same time last year.

Soon after the crash, another motorcyclist came off his bike on Gorge Rd and has been taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital with a broken leg.
