A huge fire has torn through a Meningie property, leaving an eye-watering damage bill and a home destroyed.

A massive blaze has torn through a Meningie property, engulfing the home and causing an estimated $200,000 damage.
CFS crews were called to Bowman St about 9.45pm on Sunday, following reports a fire had erupted inside the house.
By the time firefighters arrived, the blaze had completely engulfed the front two rooms of the property.
The occupant was home at the time but luckily escaped without injuries.
A total of 20 firefighters battled the blaze to prevent it spreading for more than two hours.
The estimated damage is $200,000 and fire investigators are scheduled to arrive later this morning.

Police are also investigating a weekend fire at Whyalla Stuart
Police and fire crews were called to Galpin St just after 9pm on Saturday after reports of a fire at the front of a home.
A witness reported seeing a person running off after the fire was lit.
Two people were inside at the time and were not injured as the fire did not take off and was extinguished quickly.
