A man has drowned at one of the Fleurieu Peninsula’s most popular beaches.

A 27-year-old man has drowned in a Christmas Day tragedy on the Fleurieu Peninsula.
About 12.45pm, police and emergency services were called to Horseshoe Bay at Port Elliot after reports a man had fallen off rocks and into the water.
The man, from Prospect, was brought to shore by surf lifesavers but, sadly, he could not be revived.
Police are preparing a report for the coroner.
