Koala causes three-car crash, commuter chaos on SE Freeway
Emergency services were called to a scene of peak-hour mayhem after a koala’s unfortunate attempt at crossing the busy South-Eastern Freeway.

Three cars have been totalled after a koala crossing the South-Eastern Freeway caused a pileup in the Adelaide Hills.
Emergency services were called to the eastbound track of the freeway, near Cleland, just before 8:50am after reports of a crash.
It is understood the koala was attempting to cross through peak-hour traffic when it was hit by a car, causing another two vehicles to collide.
No-one was injured in the crash.
By 10am, all three cars had been towed from the scene.
Koala rescue was called to the area and has attended to the animal, but its condition is unknown.
