The town Tim Noske worked and volunteered in have left a touching memorial to the late father and businessman.

Mr Noske, who took over the local butcher’s shop after his father died two years ago, was killed when the UTV he was driving crashed on his property on Tuesday morning.

He was 52.

In a sign of the grief being felt across the small Hahndorf community, locals have begun laying flowers outside Mr Noske’s shop, a mainstay of the township for so long.

Locals wander past and stop to chat while curious tourists ask what has happened.

Throughout the town, it is not uncommon to speak with someone who will tell you they grew up with Mr Noske or one of his three sisters.

Ian Barham, who has worked for the Noske family for around 25 years – starting with father Max and then Tim – reflects on his former employers, the tragic news still raw, almost surreal.

“Even people who don’t even know Tim, but know of him, have knocked on the back door to say sorry,” he said.

Mr Noske leaves behind a wife and two daughters.

Tributes have been flowing ever since news of his death rocked the region.

Local businesses including other butchers, bakery and the football club shared their tributes to the man described as “a true legend of the meat industry.”

People in the town mere hours after the accident spoke of their shock at losing one of their own.

“He was a really nice guy, hardworking, a good neighbour and well respected in Hahndorf,” a local business owner told The Advertiser.
