Man, 20, fighting for life after falling from ute in Cobdogla, 21-year-old Waikerie man arrested

One young man has been arrested and another is fighting for life after he fell from a ute in the Riverland overnight.

A young man has been charged and another is fighting for life after a crash at a property in the Riverland overnight.

Police and emergency services were called to a private property on Spiller Rd in Cobdogla at 1.30am on Sunday after reports a man had fallen from a Toyota Ute.

When police arrived, they found the front passenger, a 20-year-old man, from the Waikerie area, had sustained serious injuries.

He was flown to hospital where he remains with life-threatening injuries.

Major Crash detectives attended the scene later on Sunday morning.

They later charged the driver, 21, of Waikerie, was with causing serious harm by dangerous driving.

He was bailed to appear in the Berri Magistrates Court next month.
