SA Health issues COVID-19 alert for four new hot spots

People in allied health, personal care services and residential services would be required to wear a mask from today, under new directions from SA Health.

The Transition Committee met on Friday and made a number of decisions which Premier Steven Marshall said would track a “pathway back to a normal situation” by Christmas.

Under the directions, wearing a mask is required when you cannot maintain 1.5m distance.

“Especially in areas of personal care service, allied health and residential care facilities,” Mr Marshall said.

Other changes include a total removal of border restrictions to states in Australia, and an extension of the suspension of international travel arrivals into Adelaide until December 7.

“I have written to the Prime Minister requesting that the current suspension of all international passenger arrivals into Adelaide be extended for a further week through to Monday the 7th of December.

“I will reiterate, we are 100 per cent committed to the national repatriation program and getting Australian citizens back home safely.”
