Electrician Heath Chance Mason on dozens of new invasive filming, non-consensual sex, child abuse material charges

The case against an Adelaide electrical business owner has grown, and he now faces 45 charges of non-consensual sex and indecent filming.

A southern suburbs electrical business owner who allegedly had sex with a woman without her consent and distributed “invasive” images is facing dozens of new charges, including possession ofchild exploitation material.

Heath Chance Mason, 46, was absent from the Adelaide Magistrates Court on Tuesday when prosecution said the Aldinga Beach man was now facing more than 40 total charges.

These include more than a dozen counts of engaging in sexual intercourse with a person without consent and more than two dozen counts of distributing images of a person obtained by indecent filming.

He is yet to enter any pleas.

Court documents obtained by The Advertiser allege the sexual offending occurred between December 31, 2011, and November 28, 2022.

He allegedly distributed images obtained by indecent filming on several occasions in 2023 and 2024.

Documents allege he possessed child exploitation material “knowing of its pornographic nature” last December.

On Tuesday, prosecutors told Magistrate Patrick Hill they were withdrawing 10 counts of non-consensual sex charges and 16 counts of knowingly distribute invasive images.

In doing so, 13 non-consensual sex charges still remain; together with 28 counts of indecent filming, two counts of indecent assault – one being aggravated – and two counts of knowingly be in possession of child exploitation material.

Mr Mason, who owns Aldinga and Surrounds Electrical, first appeared in court in January after he was arrested and charged by SA’s elite JACET officers in December – who alleged he created, uploaded and distributed invasive images of women without their knowledge on four different occasions.

Mr Hill remanded Mr Mason on continuing bail to return to court in September.
