Convicted SA killer, Satheeswaran Suppiah enters third month of hunger strike at maximum security prison
A convicted murderer who disemboweled a fellow refugee and former housemate has had his odd prison act revealed.

A convicted murderer in an SA prison has been on a two month hunger strike, accusing the prison of serving him food against his religion.
Murderer, Satheeswaran Suppiah, 40, from Sri Lanka, who disemboweled a fellow refugee and former housemate in 2014 with a kitchen knife, has been on a hunger strike since March 4.
Mr Suppiah is currently locked up at Yatala Labour Prison, where he has been since he was convicted for the murder of his friend, Ketheshwaran Sivaperuman, 35 at Elizabeth South in January 2014.
Mr Suppiah was found guilty of murder and sentenced to life with a non-parole period of 20 years, which is the minimum for murder.
On Thursday, 7News Adelaide reported that Mr Suppiah, has been living off of instant noodles since being incarcerated, but has not eaten in the past 59 days, claiming that his strict Hindu Vegan diet has not been accommodated.
7News Adelaide reported that Mr Suppiah wrote a letter to a friend six weeks ago, telling them he was sick, weak and in pain, and that he expected ‘something bad’ would happen soon.
The South Australian Corrections Department told 7NEWS that food planning takes cultural considerations into account.
In 2015, The Advertiser reported that only moments after fatally disemboweling his victim, Mr Suppiah telephoned police, friends and a community leader insisting he was innocent and blaming someone else.
The Advertiser understands that Mr Suppiah has been transferred to the Yatala Labour Prison’s health centre as he enters his third month without food.
