An Adelaide patisserie has made the decision to shut up shop after six years selling delicious desserts.
Love, Stephy Patisserie on Hindley St, in the city’s West End, posted to Instagram on Sunday announcing the news that their final trading day will be Saturday, May 10.
“We opened the patisserie in August 2019, while still finishing our Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees,” the owners wrote.
“Who knew that a small idea would grow into such a rollercoaster of challenges, growth, and cherished memories.
“Thank you for all the love, laughs, and sugar highs over the years.
“You made this place feel like home, and for that, we’re endlessly grateful.
“With flour and chocolate smeared on our faces — thank you! From the bottom of our hearts. The Love, Stephy team.”
Loyal customers rushed to comment on the announcement post saying the decision was the “saddest news”.
“Sad to see you close, but I hope the new doors opening up are something brings great joy,” a social media user wrote.
“Thank you for the beautiful desserts and memories there,” another wrote.
The news comes after the closure of other West End venue — Stem — which shut its doors to customers on March 2 after six years trading as well.
“Sadly, it has been increasingly difficult to remain viable and we have had to make the difficult decision to gracefully retire and close the restaurant,” the owners of Stem wrote on social media at the time of the closure.
