More than a dozen men have been arrested after an alleged Hells Angels gang gathering this month.

Police said on Tuesday, January 2, members of the Hells Angels rode together from Cherry Gardens through the metro area, before dispersing at Pasadena.

On Friday, January 12, detectives from the Serious and Organised Crime Branch charged thirteen men with being present with two or more other participants of a criminal organisation.

The men were found at 16 homes across the state.

Three men aged 27, 28 and 38, from Munno Para, were charged along with two other aged 34 and 56 from Old Reynella.

Police also arrested a 31-year-old man from Clearview, a 32-year-old man from Virginia, 34-year-old man from Happy Valley, and a 35-year-old man from Davoren Park.

Two 62-year-old men – from Marion and Two Wells were also arrested, as were a 64-year-old from Para Hills and a 68-year-old from Cavan.

They were all bailed to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court on April 9. Police allege the men are members, prospects, or associates of Hells Angels – a declared criminal organisation under the Serious and Organised Crime (Control) Act 2008.

Detective Inspector Fraser Huntley, Acting Officer in Charge of Crime Gangs Task Force said the law are in place to “ensure the safety of the public.”

“The laws relating to public gatherings of those connected with declared criminal organisations, such as Outlaw Motorcycle Gangs, are in place to ensure public safety,” Mr Huntley said. “Where gatherings of OMCG’s are identified, the South Australia Police will investigate activities and take action to ensure the safety of the public.”

Members of the public who have dashcam or mobile phone footage of the Hells Angels OMCG associating on 2 January, are urged to contact Crimestoppers on 1800 333 000.
