Almost 500 Covid-19 vaccine doses have been administered at Baillie Henderson Hospital, while nearly 200 people have been tested, in the past 24 hours.

“By 4pm (on) Tuesday, 10 October, Darling Downs Health had provided 196 tests for Covid-19 at the drive-in test site at the Baillie Henderson Hospital campus,” a Darling Downs Health spokesman said.

“In relation to Covid-19 vaccinations, on Tuesday 10 August, 492 doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered at the Baillie Henderson Hospital vaccination clinic.”

The vaccination rates brings the total number of doses administered at the Baillie Henderson Hospital to 23,305, while 37,332 doses have been administered across the Darling Downs.

It comes after Goondiwindi was recognised for leading the state’s fight against the virus, after 63% of the country town’s population had been fully vaccinated against it.

Queensland Health data shows there are currently no active cases in the Darling Downs.

The region had previously recorded 57 cases, 55 of which are recovered and two resulting in deaths.

Statewide, four new cases have been recorded, all of which are linked to the Indroopilly schools cluster.

All cases were also detected in home quarantine.

The Indroopilly cluster has now grown to 120 cases, with 156 active cases across Queensland.
