They’re on worksites, construction sites, crawling around in hot ceilings and on roofs, digging holes and trenches, fixing our cars and connecting our pipes - they’re the tradies of the Gympie region and now we want to find out who is everyone’s favourite.

The Wide Bay has undergone some rapid growth since the start of the pandemic, with residents from other states in Australia moving in their droves to regional Queensland.

This construction and real estate boom has left tradespeople across the region busier and in higher demand than ever before.

The profession has also seen growth and change, with more women taking up trades and levelling representation for both genders in this typically male dominated field.
