A region-wide crime spree has come to an end with a stolen vehicle located after it was used to commit offences across the region.

Police will allege a White Toyota RAV4 was stolen from an address at Gatton in the Lockyer Valley, before it was driven around the broader Darling Downs region.

The vehicle has been linked to offences in Toowoomba, Goondiwindi and surrounding areas, police say.

Authorities located the RAV4 at Goondiwindi today.

In unrelated offending, NSW police located a stolen vehicle from Queensland across the border Wednesday morning.

Police will allege unknown offenders forced a door at a motel at Goondiwindi in the brazen act, where they have stolen a Mazda CX30 from the occupants.

The vehicle was later located in Boggabilla, across the border.

Investigations are continuing.

The recent crime spree was another example of mobile offenders travelling around the region, following a large scale, violent “crime wave” in July.

Residents across the Goondiwindi area and wider Downs area are urged to keep valuables and properties locked.

Officer in charge at Goondiwindi Police Station Senior Sergeant Richard McIntosh urged residents last month to stay vigilant with property and vehicle offences rising.
