Teen hit by car seriously injured east of Toowoomba
Following a number of car crashes, police are appealing for information after a teenager was left fighting for his life after being hit by an SUV east of Toowoomba.

Emergency Services were called to a number of road incidents at the weekend across the Darling Downs.
The most serious incident occurred east of Toowoomba where a teenager a struck by a car on the streets of Gatton.
It’s understood the 19-year-old was seen running in and out of traffic before he was struck.
The Queensland Ambulance responded to the vehicle and pedestrian incident on Railway Street just before 11pm on Saturday, March 1.
Police were called the serious incident around 10:50pm after receiving reports of a 19-year-old teen being struck by a Toyota Kluger.
“The occupants of the Toyota were not physically injured,” a police spokeswoman said.
“The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist to come forward.”
A QAS spokeswoman said the teenage boy was seriously injured and had to be flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital for lifesaving treatment.
She said the boy had significant head injuries.
Not long after that incident, paramedics were called to Newtown after a single vehicle car crash into a pole on the corner of Bridge Street and Gladstone Street.
The spokeswoman said a man was treated for minor injuries and taken to Toowoomba Hospital.
Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
“At approximately 11.03pm police were called to the incident involving a silver sedan near the intersection of Bridge St and Bothwell St,” the spokeswoman said.
“A 29-year-old Meringandan man and single occupant of the vehicle received non life threatening injuries and was transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital for treatment.”
Investigations are continuing.
