A tiny border town has once again witnessed the fiery destruction of a home which was destroyed in what investigators are calling suspicious circumstances.

Boggabilla, eight kilometres across the Qld-NSW border, is vastly becoming ravaged by crime and destruction, with a second unoccupied home in Yeoman St up in flames in a matter of weeks.

Boggabilla rural fireys were also called to house fire in Yeoman St back in June, with the property destroyed by the blaze, while a fire ravaged the garage of a Merriwa St home back in January.

The latest saw emergency services called to a property just before 10pm on November 15, following reports of a fire.

NSW Rural Fire Service arrived on scene to find the home fully engulfed in flames, with fireys unable to extinguish the blaze before the home was destroyed.

A NSW RFS spokesman said fireys managed to extinguish the fire around midnight, while it’s understood the home was unoccupied at the time of the blaze.

Officers from the New England Police District established a crime scene and commenced investigations alongside NSW RFS fire investigators into the circumstances.

A NSW police spokeswoman said the fire is being treated as suspicious and investigations are ongoing.
