It is understood the driver walked from the scene with only minor injuries. It is understood local firefighters provided first aid to the driver until paramedics arrived, while another firefighter worked to ensure the truck was safe.

In a busy weekend for emergency responders in the southern border region, LifeFlight crews were called to a bike accident in the Goondiwindi region.

The Toowoomba-based LifeFlight aeromedical crew was tasked to a state forest at 11am on Sunday after a trail bike incident.

It’s believed the male rider aged in his 50s was travelling with a family member when he crashed.

A Queensland Ambulance Service paramedic was first on scene to treat the man.

The LifeFlight critical care doctor and QAS flight paramedic worked with a local QAS paramedic to treat the patient for chest and shoulder injuries.

He was flown to Toowoomba Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
