POLICE busted nine people at an illegal "party" in Eumundi in southeast Queensland last night, held in breach of strict social-distancing laws which carry a $1334 fine.
Acting Superintendent Jason Overland said some people clearly had not got the message to comply with the Covid-19 public health order, but reported no fines had been issued during Good Friday patrols today.
Act Supt Overland said notices had been issued to all people present at last night's party, with ages ranging from 19 to 21.

The incident comes days after five youths were charged a combined $6500 for holding a party at a Maroochydore hotel.
"Clearly, some people need to learn the hard way," Act Supt Overland said.
Act Supt Overland said the public health crackdown would not end with Easter as empty beaches, clear campsites and near-empty roads offered a glimpse of the region's new norm for the foreseeable future.
"It's quiet everywhere, and I think the messaging during week about staying home unless you have to has sunk in," he said.
"It's important we don't stop now and we continue these measures until the Chief Health Officer says we can change our lifestyle.
"We are in the middle of a pandemic, so this is the way it has to be until the Chief Health Officer says we can go back to our normal lifestyle."
When asked to clarify whether someone who did not live in walking distance could drive to the beach for exercise, for example, Act Supt Overland had a very clear message.
"Just because you can do something, doesn't mean you should," he said.
"The direction is clear: stay home."
Though some have taken to social media with claims they had seen cars packed with camp gear, Act Supt Overland said police had not witnessed that.
"Everyone is taking this opportunity to have a quiet long weekend at home with their families," he said.
"Thanks to the Sunshine Coast community for getting on board, and together we will get through this."
