Woman trapped after car, truck smash, major road closed at Redbank Plains

A woman was trapped and suffering significant injuries after a horror smash between a car and truck this morning west of Brisbane. A major road will be closed for hours.

A woman with significant injuries was trapped in the wreckage of a car after a crash in Ipswich this morning.

A truck and car reportedly collided about 8.30am on Mount Juillerat Dr in Redbank Plains.

A woman sustained significant leg and pelvic injuries and was still trapped in the car following the smash.

She was extricated by emergency services and rush to the PA hospital in a critical condition.

Police have closed Mount Juillerat Dr between Sunbird Drive and the Centenary Motorway.

The road will be closed for several hours, police said.

It is understood there were no other occupants in the car and no other people sustained injuries

The High Acuity Response Unit and Forensic Crash Unit attended.
