Woman suffers serious burns after car explodes in flames
A woman has been rushed to hospital with serious burns after a car burst into flames along a busy northwest Brisbane road.

A woman has been taken to hospital with serious burns after a car has burst into flames in Brisbane’s inner northwest.
Motorists travelling along Musgrave Rd, Red Hill, were urged to avoid the area after the dual cab burst into flames.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said one crew attended the scene where they found a well-involved vehicle at around 6.30pm.
“The fire took around 15 minutes to get under control and fire investigators will attend the scene tomorrow to work out the cause as it was a large vehicle fire and will determine as to why it ignited,” a spokesman said.
A woman in her 40s suffered serious burns to her face, arm and chest.
She was taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
