A multi vehicle accident temporarily closed the Bruce Highway this morning with one car ending up in a creek.

Emergency services were called to Deadman Creek Bridge in Goorganga Plains just before 10am after reports of a three car crash on the Bruce Highway.

Police, paramedics, and Queensland Fire Department were all called to the scene which was blocking traffic across the bridge.

Two people were in the vehicle that entered the creek, both were transported to Proserpine Hospital in a stable condition along with a third patient in a separate vehicle.

A fourth person was assessed at the scene but was uninjured.

Police have opened one lane to traffic but motorists were advised to proceed with caution.
