Thanks to a new grant, local community groups, clubs, schools and not-for-profit organisations could score up to $10,000 for significant projects or initiatives.

Stanmore Resources has opened round one of its 2025 Community Grant Program, including a new category for central Queensland organisations with significant projects or initiatives that highlight community health and wellbeing, support young people in the region, provide opportunities for Indigenous engagement, or support the environment.

The grants available in this round include general grants of up to $5,000 and the new significant project or initiative grants of up to $10,000.

Previous projects include improved lighting at the Blue Mountain Campdraft and new portable goalposts for the Dolphins Football Club’s MiniRoos and junior teams.

Stanmore Resources chief executive officer, Marcelo Matos, said it was fantastic to see not-for-profits be in a position to fund important initiatives.

Online applications are open now and close on 9 February.
