Two Queensland properties, including one in the Whitsundays, have made it into this year’s Stayz’ national Top 10 for Best Holiday Homes.

The Lotus House, Hamilton Island
The Lotus House is located in the Whitsundays and was ranked in the Top 5 of the best Australian Holiday Homes in Stayz’ 2024 ranking.
The property nestled at the northern tip of Hamilton Island has breathtaking views of the Fitzalan Passage, a private beach, a pool and direct access to different coastal trails.
With four bedrooms and three bathrooms, the property can house eight guests for AU$2,867 per night, or $358 per person if split by 8.
Peter Baumgart, who manages the property, said its owners often come on holiday to enjoy the peace and quiet of the house and rent it out to guests the rest of the time.

The Easton, Maleny
The Easton which is located in the dairy hills of the Sunshine Coast at Maleny came fourth in the Stayz’ best Australian Holiday Homes 2024 ranking.
The property is an Hampton’s country-style retreat located only a minutes’ drive from the famous Maleny township.
The spacious 450 sqm holiday home is a unique stay in a tranquil setting with 3/4 acres of privacy and surrounded by stunning views of rolling hills that is popular to host wedding stays of photo shoots.
The house has a Michelin trained chef for unique dining experiences upon request, and guests can visit the house’s wine cellar with more than 150 hand selected Australian and international wines and choose one complimentary bottle.
The house features a large stone fireplace with hand chopped long-burning ironbark firewood.
Other features include a 40 sqm sun-drenched magnesium salt pool with 3 deck areas, a hot stone Swedish barrel sauna, a pavilion for yoga/pilates that can include lessons, an orchard, a garden and more.
This multifaceted property can house up to 6 people and can be rented for AU$960 on average per night, which makes it a $160 if split by 6.
