Shannon Trapp charged with nine offences including alleged kidnapping and choking
A man is behind bars facing disturbing charges including alleged stalking, kidnapping and assault.
A man has been charged with nine shocking alleged offences, including kidnapping, stalking and choking, in the Whitsundays.
Shannon Trapp appeared in Proserpine Magistrates Court via video from custody where it was heard the 38-year-old had been charged with nine alleged offences including kidnapping, stalking, choking, assault causing harm and deprivation of liberty.
Police allege the offences occurred in Cannonvale and Sugarloaf.
Rosemary Varley, from Legal Aid Queensland, appeared as a friend of the court for Mr Trapp.
She said she would send a legal aid application to him in custody for him to fill in and submit to ensure his matters continued moving forward.
Given the nature of the charges, a brief of evidence was ordered to be disclosed by January 27.
These matters were adjourned to February 2 for mention.
