Proserpine police pressed charges over several drug and alcohol related incidents in the past week, including a man who acted aggressively towards Queensland Ambulance Service paramedics.

The paramedics were attending the 44 year old’s home to check on him because of his level of intoxication.

The Cannonvale man was arrested and charged with public nuisance following the incident on Mill Street, about 5.30pm on May 23 and will face court at a later date.

Also charged with public nuisance during the week was a 27-year-old Proserpine woman who threw a beer over a 49-year-old man during an argument about 7.45pm on May 21 at the Prince of Wales Hotel.

A 42-year-old Mount Julian man had his licence immediately disqualified and spent a night in the watch-house after police caught him driving erratically on Shute Harbour Road at Hamilton Plains about 9pm May 22 with a 0.223 blood alcohol concentration.

A 30-year-old Proserpine woman was charged with possessing meth and drug utensils after police executed a search warrant at a Mill Street home about 1pm on May 18, on suspicion it was being used in the supply of dangerous drugs.

The woman will appear at Proserpine Magistrates Court on June 14.
