Investigations are continuing into the frenzied nudie-run that shocked Proserpine schoolchildren earlier this week.
Police said a Sunshine Coast man, aged in his 20s, was “transported to hospital for an assessment” following reports he was running through the streets of Proserpine in the nude, abusing and threatening people and smashing letterboxes late Tuesday afternoon.
Witnesses, including a mother out walking with her two young daughters, described a man chasing her before an off-duty police officer “crash tackled” him to the ground outside Proserpine State School, restraining him until his arrest, about 5.15pm.
No one has been charged in relation to the incident.
