A Whitsunday man has been arrested over a spree of break and enters across the region following a targeted police investigation.
Brady Matthew Ford will spend at least another month in custody on remand after he was charged with 54 offences, including 45 counts of break and enter.
Police will allege the raft of break and enters occurred over about three months.
Following investigations by Whitsunday police, the 28 year old was found and arrested at a business at Cannonvale about 9.40pm on July 21.
He was interviewed by officers, and then arrested and charged with unlawful possession of breaking implements, attempted break and enter and trespassing.
Mr Ford was held in police custody.
On Saturday, July 22 police then executed a search warrant at a Cannonvale address.
It is alleged during the search officers found specific items of clothing, break and enter tools, cash and a drugs stash including methylamphetamine, LSD and marijuana.
These items were seized.
Mr Ford was then charged with further offences including 45 counts of entering premises and committing indictable offences over about three months, three counts of trespass, two counts of unlawful possession of dangerous drugs and possessing tainted property.
Whitsunday Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Sergeant Luke Scells said it was a good result after a targeted police investigation into an alleged spate of offences.
“Police will take this kind of offending seriously and do everything in our power to arrest those responsible,” Sergeant Scells said.
Mr Ford appeared in Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday.
There was no bail application and he was remanded in custody. Matters will next be mentioned of August 21.
