A woman facing court for an alleged three day crime spree that included charges of serious assaults and extortion faces up to 14 years jail if convicted.

Amanda Maree Fenn appeared in Proserpine Magistrates Court on Monday for extortion, two counts of seriously assaulting a person over the age of 60, burglary at night with intent and breaching her bail conditions.

It was alleged she committed the offences in Proserpine between 11 December and 14 December.

Magistrate Haydn Stjernqvist said seeing the 30 year old was a “blast from the past.”

Ms Fenn told the court she had been “pretty good since then” but Mr Stjernqvist questioned why she was in court if that was the case.

Lawyer at Richard Rewald Solicitors, Cleo Rewald, appeared as duty lawyer and town agent for A. W. Bale and Son Solicitors on behalf of Ms Fenn telling the court they were requesting an adjournment.

A full brief was ordered and the case was adjourned to 23 June.

Bail was enlarged with Magistrate Stjernqvist instructing Ms Fenn to keep in contact with her solicitors.
