Southern Queensland braces for another week of subzero temperatures
Queensland is set to shiver again this week amid a relentless cold snap with the apparent temperature to drop to -5.4C on the Darling Downs.

A relentless cold snap that has gripped parts of southern Queensland for the past week is set to bite again over coming days.
Toowoomba’s apparent temperature will plummet to -5.4C on Thursday morning according to Weatherzone.
The actual temperature will hover around 1C while the daytime maximum will get to just 10C.
Communities across the Granite Belt, including Stanthorpe and Glen Aplin, are expected to get to 0C on Thursday and Friday.
However, it will feel far colder with the apparent temperature dropping to -3.7C on Thursday morning and -3.3C on Friday morning.
Across South East Queensland, minimum temperatures will hover between 4-6C from Thursday through to Sunday, with daytime maximums unlikely to exceed 18C.
The below-average temperatures are being caused by a slow-moving cold front that is creeping its way through South Australia, Victoria and NSW.
The cold air will spread up into northern NSW early this week before reaching southern Queensland.
Bureau of Meteorology forecaster Jonathan How said while the current cold snap had not broken many low temperature records, its longevity made it unusual.
