A close call between the catcher and the deadly snake was caught on camera as the “huge” reptile was pulled from the rock wall at Augustine Heights in Ipswich.
Footage from N&S Snake Catcher Ipswich, Brisbane & Logan via Facebook shows the snake catcher attempting to lure the large snake into a bag after pulling it from a tall retaining wall.
The agitated snake resists and is flung from the wall down the grass below, metres from the family watching on.
The ordeal left the cameraman bolting for his life as the snake fell in very close proximity.
